A Lancashire couple are raising awareness for the third parvovirus vaccination after their five-month-old puppy died. Gillian Roscow and her partner John were distraught when their puppy died from parvovirus last month.

The Friends of Carrington Moss group is campaigning against the influx of heavy goods vehicles through the village which they say is impacting the physical and mental wellbeing of residents. It is estimated that 200 HGVs travel through Carrington every hour during peak times, with more than 100 every hour at all other times of the day and night.

Overseas students are being made to feel at home in the UK by a Man Met student's project for people to donate unwanted kitchenware. More than 300 items were received from students and staff donations within the Don8 It project organised by fashion promotion student Caitlin Keeble.

Over 300 tickets have been listed on the Manchester Students Group Facebook page. Offers range from £20 to £50 per ticket, with one Facebook user even stating that they "just want it gone".
